After a bank robbery, an AS-350B2 A-Star flies above the first car chase.

Later, the Atlanta police helicopter is unidentifiable as it hovers in the night sky above a house.

Transformers: The Last Knight

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT (2017)

This sci-fi adventure sequel features several military helicopters, usually in very fast-moving action scenes.

In the Namibian sequence an MD 500E takes off from a base camp on the west African shore.

There are Black Hawk, Pave Hawk, and Sea Hawk flights on various locations, over desert, ocean, warships, and military bases.

An Apache Longbow escorts a military convoy and circles over the hero’s scrap-yard in Texas.

An AS-355 TwinStar gunship flies over London, and two Black Hawks land near Stonehenge.

Climactic rotary action includes Ospreys, with a sci-fi variant, that drop from a giant alien spaceship to launch an attack on the invader’s rogue planet.

However, during the raid, the Ospreys crash-land on an island in the sky.

Final Recall

FINAL RECALL (aka: The Recall, 2017)

This sci-fi horror movie includes an ironic scene where the approach of a UFO in the night sky is mistaken for a rescue helicopter coming to save the heroes.

After the alien mother-ship leaves Earth, a pair of Black Hawks appear on a TV screen in the military command bunker.

CHIPS

CHIPS (2017)

A big screen remake of a 1970s TV show, this comedy movie is about two California highway patrolmen.

A police AS-350 attends a robbery scene, where a co-pilot jumps from the low-hovering A-Star and hits the ground in a car park.

Later, the same ‘Eagle Six’ chopper arrives near a road bridge where crooks escape on motorbikes.

Following another chase, the A-Star lands at a crime scene on a bridge to medevac an injured cop.

Revolt

REVOLT (2017)

This sci-fi actioner is about an invasion by alien robots.

It begins with a freeze frame of an MH-60 Pave Hawk in rural Kenya. 

In a special effects scene, the military helicopter spins out of control, crashing and exploding (off screen) behind a building.

War For The Planet Of The Apes

WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES (2017)

In the climactic battle, a squadron of AH-64 Apache Longbow helicopters spearhead the attack on a mountain fort. 

One Apache chopper is shot down by machine-gun fire.
