TRUE MEMOIRS OF AN INTERNATIONAL ASSASSIN (2016)
The hero jumps onboard to fight a henchman, and rescue a woman, before the Huey crashes into the water.
In a meta-fictional re-write of that intro, the hero jumps out just before the crash.
This new scene begins with a clever bit of surrealistic animation - where rotors scatter letters from a re-typed page - for the dissolve.
A Huey also features in the climactic stunt sequence where the hero dangles from the landing skids, while the heroine fights the villain.
The low-flying chopper hits a tree, spins out of control, and the heroes have to jump into a jungle river.
LETHAL WEAPON (2016-8)
This comedy-drama is a TV remake of the popular 1980s movies about two L.A.P.D. detectives.
Season one’s episode As Good As It Getz has gun-men using an AS-350 A-Star to kidnap a federal agent.
The hero grabs onto landing skids just as the chopper takes off.
After an airborne fight, the heroes jump out of the low-flying A-Star, and the flight crashes in the desert.
Season two’s episode Fools Rush In features a conspiracy guy using a tiny copter drone until the hero shoots it down.
