HOOTEN & THE LADY (2016)

This British TV adventure series is about a couple of treasure hunters and global travellers played by Michael Landes and Ophelia Lovibond.

First episode The Amazon features a Eurocopter EC-120B searching the South American jungle for the remains of a lost Victorian explorer. 

In the show’s main rotary action, the pilot betrays the heroine but the hero climbs aboard the Colibri for some low-flying stunts over the river, where the heroes jump out before the chopper crashes into a rocky hill-side.

Episode Moscow includes an unlikely Bell 206 JetRanger in rural Russia.

Episode Cambodia has a Bell 407, without its rear doors, flying the villain and his henchmen to a mountain location. 

Suicide Squad

SUICIDE SQUAD (2016)

A follow-up movie to Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice (2016) this features a couple of AH-64 Apache Longbow helicopters destroyed in flight by a super-villain on the Midway City streets.

Carrying troops, an MD 500E lands at the FEMA camp during the evacuation of civilians, and a Bell 206L LongRanger is parked in the background of this scene. 

An MH-60 Black Hawk drops off convicts for suicide squad, Task Force X, at the military staging area.

Two Boeing CH-47 transports fly teams into the city, where one Chinook is shot down and it crashes sideways to roll through a car park. The second helicopter lands safely near the crash site.

Later, when it's hijacked by the Joker, a rescue Chinook hovers near a roof-top and shoots at the squad of antiheroes. Harley Quinn jumps off the roof and she grabs a rope to dangle beneath the getaway helicopter, but the Chinook is hit by a missile and the burning chopper crashes off-screen. 

Finally, an MH-60 gunship picks up the task force chief from the roof-top. The rescue Black Hawk flies away, spraying chaff, but is soon downed and it crash lands in the street. 

Mermaid

THE MERMAID (2016) 

Directed by Stephen Chow, this Chinese fantasy rom-com features a Eurocopter EC-120B Colibri that chases a mermaid off the shore, and the airborne villainess fires a torpedo into the sea that blasts the heroine out of the water.   

Code Of Honour

CODE OF HONOUR (2016)

Starring Steven Seagal, this cop thriller has a Bell 206L LongRanger hovering at the first crime scene.

For the final showdown, FBI agents in a Eurocopter AS-365 Dauphin arrive to interrupt a roof-top fight at night.  

Precious Cargo

PRECIOUS CARGO (2016)

The featured helicopter in this crime thriller is a Bell 206-L LongRanger, which first appears as a cartoon version during the caper movie’s animated titles sequence. Later, through binoculars, a Black Hawk is seen airborne when the gang of thieves spy on a private airfield. 

Finally, the LongRanger arrives as the heroes’ getaway vehicle from a hotel roof-top. In the background of some poster artwork for this movie, there are two Russian Hind helicopters, but nothing like that appears on screen.
