This TV series is a remake of Magnum,
P.I. (1980-8), about a detective in Hawaii.
The first episode, I Saw
The Sun Rise, includes an airborne stunt of a helicopter rescue, where the pilot ‘TC’ (Stephen Hill) flies a Hughes 500D painted to match
the chopper in 1980s TV show's colours.
Season one episode Bad
Day To Be A Hero also has a recreation of the original show’s ‘Island
Hopper’ with its doors off.
There’s a helicopter chase in season finale The Day It All Came Together.
